Colliers has the ambition to reduce the carbon footprint of its offices and mobility to near-zero in 2030. Do you feel challenged to take on this ambitious goal? In this role within Colliers, you will have the freedom and flexibility to re-develop and expand the scope and execution of the ESG strategy. We are looking for a creative, pragmatic, ambitious and enthusiastic colleague to help Colliers achieve this.
 

Function
The Working Student ESG will help deliver the insights to drive the ESG strategy of Colliers. Colliers is currently developing their ESG strategy, and you will be instrumental to develop and help progress it. You will have affinity with commercial, technical and strategic aspects of ESG within Colliers and you will work closely with the IT, commercial, legal, operational and finance staff. Your commitment, experience and drive will help you to understand the key drivers, identify opportunities and overcome challenges. Colliers is a flat organization, and you will engage with stakeholders at all levels mainly internally. You will report to Danielle ten Haaf, Senior Operations Specialist, and be a member of the COO team.
 

Responsibilities

  • Collect and process data needed for the internal ESG audit an prepare data and support the external auditor to maintain Colliers EED Energie-certificate
  • Update and further develop our ESG roadmap
  • Design and develop ESG dashboards
  • Internal communication regarding ESG
  • Periodically calibrating the Colliers ESG strategy, coordinating and driving the ESG strategy implementation and advancing the dialogue on ESG matters
  • Build up knowledge on ESG within the organization on all aspects; a.o. technical, organizational, commercial, political, legal, financial
     

Skills
The Working Student ESG is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude. You have well-developed communication skills, are effective in engaging with colleagues and management as well as with external stakeholders. Also, you possess a willingness to drive change and have a creative ‘out-of-the-box’ mindset.

  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, ever-changing and cross-functional environment on a global scale
  • Excellent communications skills for a variety of audiences, including a knack for concise, fun & engaging communications
  • Organized & efficient project manager
  • Creative & agile problem solver
  • Ability to analyze, interpret & communicate social & environmental data for reporting & to inform decision making
  • Have an understanding of the ESG/Sustainability/Social Impact landscape, either through academic or professional experience
  • Have an excellent academic background
  • In your final year of your bachelor, or currently doing your masters degree.
