Job Description

The Hotels Valuation team are seeking an experienced valuation surveyor to join their team based in Manchester, Bristol or Birmingham. This role will focus on undertaking valuation work for a variety of clients (primarily for loan security purposes) and to directly contribute to the continued growth of the Hotels Valuation team.

The appointment is crucial to increasing market share within the hotels valuation market from a UK regional perspective and will cover the valuation of privately owned and corporately branded hotels, hotels held subject to leases or management contracts as investment properties and hotel development schemes.

The Hotels Valuation Team is located regionally across the UK and are a highly regarded and skilled team that valued in excess of £9.6 billion of UK hotel assets in 2021, mainly for loan security purposes. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • To conduct professional work for clients and to ensure that all relevant reporting requirements are met to agreed deadlines in accordance with RICS regulatory compliance standards.
  • To ensure that all work is conducted to a high standard in accordance with Colliers International’s Best Practice standards.
  • To develop new and manage existing direct client relationships and contribute to activities and events organised by both the Hotels Valuation team and the regional office.
  • To self-generate fee income (target to be agreed) and to work diligently to meet team targets.
  • To pro-actively seek opportunities to develop new business including cross-selling and identification of new business.

Qualifications

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Must possess sound IT skills, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to work effectively on their own and as part of a team.
  • Must be a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a RICS Registered Valuer with demonstrated post-qualification experience.
  • Must have experience in trading business and accounts based valuations.
