Early Careers

The role of Investment Analyst at Colliers is to provide support in an analytical capacity to our key capital markets departments to enhance our overall service offering and further develop business and strengthen client relationships. Departments include London Offices Capital Markets, National Capital Markets, Retail Capital Markets and Corporate Capital Solutions. The Investment Analyst plays a key role in our growth strategy for our Capital Markets function nationally.

Key responsibilities:

·        Carrying out investment analysis, including conducting financial modelling of potential real estate transactions;

·        Conducting portfolio analysis, including sensitivity and risk analysis;

·        Preparing cash flow construction and IRR calculations for portfolios and individual property assets

·        Preparing cash flow construction and IRR calculations for fund models and investor distributions and reporting

·        Monitoring operational cash movements and reconciliation to fund cash flow models

·        Tracking ongoing pipeline deal flow and other internal processes

·        Preparing investment committee memoranda and providing market commentary and analysis for internal and external distribution

·        Support investment activities by analysing opportunities, producing research and market analysis

·        Financial modelling using prebuilt investment models

·        Development of modelling tools

Candidate profile:

·        Excellent academic background, minimum 2:1 or equivalent in Bachelor’s degree

·        Analytical, logical and innovative thinker

·        Strong drive to exceed expectations and take initiative

·        Meticulous accuracy and attention to detail is essential

·        Strong communication skills

·        Proactive and enthusiastic self-starter

·        Knowledge, understanding and interest in property investment

·        Proficient with MS Office tools, VBA and other coding languages are an advantage

·        Strong mathematical, analytical & quantitative skills

·        Organisational and time management skills essential

·        Confidence in interacting with senior stakeholders

·        Previous work experience within a real estate or financial services company desired
