The impact of sustainability on real estate cannot be underestimated and we want to ensure that we are providing the latest intelligence to our developer, investor and occupier clients.

 

We are looking for someone who can combine knowledge of the evolving carbon neutral landscape with commercial understanding of how to incorporate this into our services, whether in our transactional or consultancy teams.

 

The ideal candidate will have existing knowledge, and a passion for continual education on the evolving topics, on how carbon net zero targets and the wider sustainability agenda impacts real estate of all property types (offices, industrial, retail, hotels & leisure etc..).  This should complement a commercial understanding, and ability to engage with all of our internal teams, to develop market leading advice in all of our business areas.  The role will require very strong communication skills, and an ability to confidently lead consultations with groups of people.

 

The role will require high levels of engagement and consultation with internal stakeholders and may at times be called upon to engage with external clients.  We are looking for someone who can prioritise those topics of real value to our clients, and translate this for our existing surveyors, providing commercial value-added intelligence.  For that reason, we are keen to talk to someone with business development experience in this arena.

This role will also likely be involved in developing our inhouse carbon neutral agenda.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cutting edge knowledge of the carbon zero/neutral and wider sustainability agenda to ensure that Colliers is fully informed.

 

  • Work with all inhouse departments and teams to develop up to date and evolving advice for clients.

 

  • Educate this proposition across all relevant staff.

 

  • At times, engage with clients as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)

 

  • Identify opportunities for monetising opportunities

 

  • Collaborate with EMEA ESG Manager to evolve the Colliers Carbon neutral targets

 

Qualifications

Ideal experience

  • Knowledge of how this topic affects real estate and property
  •  Strong commercial understanding to identify value add advice for clients
  • Potentially background in business development in this area
  • Good communication skills to engage with all parts of our business

 

  • Self-starter who can drive this new business area
