Job Description

The Role: 

  • Ensure accurate accounting through the application of department processes and procedures
  • Production of reporting and analysis of company performance
  • Business Partnering with divisional and department heads across the business

 

Main Responsibilities:
Accounting

  • Ensure prompt and accurate month end reporting
  • Ensure correct allocation of costs between departments based on agreed cost drivers
  • Production of Balance Sheet reconciliations within agreed timetables to ensure SOX compliance
  • Assist with quarterly revenue recognition testing (US GAAP)
  • Respond to ad hoc queries
     

Reporting, Analysis and Business Partnering:

  • Production of monthly department P&Ls with variance analysis commentary
  • Develop relationships with relevant divisional and department heads
  • Production of ad hoc reports and analysis based on business requirements
     

Other

  • Completion of Office of National Statistics surveys
  • Continuous review of processes, systems and reporting to identify improvements
  • Any other tasks that may be reasonably required

 

Qualifications

Essential

  • Team player but also able to work autonomously
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Results/deadline driven
  • Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc)
     

Preferred

  • AAT qualified or equivalent
  • Studying towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Exposure to SOX controls
