Job Description

The Network Engineer will proactively manage and support the Colliers EMEA wide network in all branch offices and Data Centers as well as remote client connectivity.

In addition to the proactive management and support of the network, the engineer will also troubleshoot problems that arise and contribute technical network expertise/consultancy to projects as required including the integration of technology arising from any mergers or acquisitions. 

  • Ensure sufficient performance monitoring is in place
  • Ensure sufficient security and alerting is in place
  • Manage network upgrades adhering to the documented Change Management process
  • Undertaking network fault investigations in local and wide area environments.
  • Configuration and maintenance of routing and switching equipment
  • Configuration and maintenance of firewalls
  • Configuration and implementation of Wi-Fi solutions
  • Identify areas to improve resiliency and performance
  • Capacity management and audit of IP addressing
  • Produce documentation and network diagrams
  • Ensure Incidents are resolved in a timely manner to meet defined SLA’s, working with internal colleagues and external vendors as required
  • Support the Problem Management process contributing to the timely resolution of Problem tickets

Qualifications

  • Routing protocols, SIP Trunks, Best practice networking.
  • LAN, WAN, Wireless , VPN, SDWAN , QoS and VoIP technologies
  • Network security
  • Troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  •   CCNA or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working in ITIL environments and familiar with Incident , Change and problem management
  • Knowledge of Network design, development and Deployment
  • Knowledge of the following technologies is desirable
  • o   Palo Alto and Panorama
  • o   Cisco Meraki stack MR MS and MX
  • o   Microsoft Azure networking
