A Business Development Manager at Colliers International exemplifies Colliers International’s purpose and values and is seen as an ambassador of the brand in the marketplace. BDMs at Colliers are expected to work with a team to identify new opportunities for the business and demonstrate the services that we offer whilst upholding the Colliers standards, in accordance with the stated mission and values of the Company, delivering profitable business and contributing to the overall Colliers International brand.

The role within the Business Rates team is to sell the services of the business to specifically identified potential clients, attending pre-arranged meetings to explain what we offer and the value that we can add to the client’s business. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Telephone-based meeting arranging through consultative selling methods and provision of full needs analysis on specific targeted campaigns.
  • Attendance at some calls/meetings with prospective clients.
  • Networking with other departments around the firm to proactively seek out opportunities from existing clients.
  • Responsibility for maximising return of signed terms and conditions from both existing and new clients.
  • Consultation with Rating surveyors and Directors to ensure successful and quality sales calls/meetings
  • Responsibility for sourcing new leads through understanding of market and use of initiative.
