Job Description

The successful candidate will work with the transaction managers, taking a significant responsibility in financial modelling and associated real estate transactional analytical work to assist our clients in making informed and strategic real estate decisions based on robust analysis and financial output.

 Essential Responsibilities

  • Build, utilize and improve highly-customized financial models to analyze real estate scenarios / occupancy alternatives
  • Support client’s real estate strategy by providing customized, analysis to aid decision making
  • In collaboration with the transaction manager, provide recommendations based on robust options analysis
  • Contribute on project calls with the client and client’s customers
  • Deliver client-facing presentations of financial models, etc.
  • Ongoing communication with client and account team
  • Review of lease documents for inputs in financial models
  • Portfolio planning and analysis
  • Metroplan support, including data analytics
  • Transaction reporting including revenue tracking, KPI reporting etc
  • Bring innovation, enhancement and simplification to existing analytical tools and / or processes
  • Operational support on project set up and close out

 

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • BA or higher in real estate, finance or related area with a record of high academic achievement
    • Exceptional analytical ability, both financial and qualitative including use of logic
    • Ability to develop complex Excel models for efficiencies and scenario analysis which would include both the use of VBA (macros) and complex formulas such as lookup, index, dsum, and sumproduct arrays
    • Solid understanding of real estate and lease terminology
    • Proficiency with other Microsoft Office products, including Access
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Prior experience in consulting, real estate, capital markets or banking industries
