Job Description

The Company is looking for a Finance Manager, reporting to the Executive Managing Director.  As the Finance Manager, you will have responsibility to support the ambitious growth targets of the division from a financial perspective, working closely with the Executive Managing Director as well as the wider management team.

 Success will be achieved through engagement with the wider divisional team as well as the broader finance team across the EMEA region. The role will also have ownership of the delivery of Management and Statutory financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, AR and AP cycle management and all requests to finance within the division, as necessary

Main Responsibilities

  • Primary finance point of contact for a pan European division.
  • Responsibility for the management of one part time qualified direct report (based offshore) covering mentoring and development needs
  • Design and delivery of high quality management information to Regional and Department heads on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Utilisation of Salesforce financial dashboarding to assist daily decision making – Flash Revenue, performance by fee earner, top clients etc.
  • Attendance and active participation in cyclical business review meetings with the EMEA Management team (including the EMEA CEO, CFO and COO).
  • Drive divisional investment initiatives, modelling scenario’s including sensitivity analysis.
  • Provide commercial support for department heads, offering recommendations and insights based on analysis of financial data and pipeline information.
  • Developing and tracking service line P&L’s for ten service lines
  • Ensure correct allocation of costs between departments/entities based on agreed cost drivers.
  • Liaising with counterparts at a global level to understand and support the department heads in structuring fee share arrangements on global contracts
  • Delivery of annual FRS102 Financial statements.
  • Audit Liaison with PWC and EMEA Finance and delivery of audit file (and completion to budget) each year.
  • Review and authorisation of monthly journals and Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Continuous review of processes, systems & reporting to identify improvements.
  • Any other task that may reasonably be required.

 

 

Qualifications

Key skills

  • ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified
  • Ability to make decisions and use initiative in highly pressured environments
  • Excellent Stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Strategic thinker, who can consider the bigger picture and the impacts to the business
  • A proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic growth environment
  • A proven track record of delivering financial statements on time and achieving clean annual audit
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate and present at all levels from Board to non-financial senior management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in business partnering
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a highly pressured, fast paced environment
  •  Intermediate to Advanced Excel
  • US GAAP Knowledge preferred but not essential
  • SOX environment experience preferred but not essential
