Job Description
- Overall responsibility for all procurement related activities like prequalification, preparation and issue of tenders, evaluation and leading up to award, vendor development, comparative statements, negotiating the contract, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations, review purchase order
- To conduct procurement analysis, supply risk assessments, demand and supply market analysis and vendor / supplier evaluation.
- To coordinate with various departments across the company and its business units for identifying professional services requirements and for selection of potential suppliers / vendors.
- May act as senior manager. When required, performs in a cross-functional role. Provides guidance and leadership to cross - functional team members.
- May provide formal training in contract domain expertise.
- Champions contract policy and procedure revision and improvement. Lead and profit and loss implications.
- To manage complex and highly diverse contract information by- means of control of purchasing budgets, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring delivery schedules are met
- To negotiate and prepare rank orders for all items. This will form basis of commercial evaluation and negotiation for all items.
- To establish guidelines for techno-commercial rating of vendors.
- Participates in development of business alliance and partnering, procurements, source selection procedures and process, make or buy determinations.
- Provides contractual domain expertise in implementation, execution and administration.
Qualifications
- B. Tech (Graduates in Mechanical/Electrical)
- Software knowledge of AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Office.
- Minimum 8 – 10 years construction industry experience and should have handled multiple projects.
- Must have sound knowledge of MEP Costing and Contracts management .
- Should have relevant experience in Buildings/ Infra projects.

- Good proven track record of Contract Management (Procurement/ Price Negotiation / Costing / Cost Saving / Value Engineering).
- Excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment methods), industry practices, estimation & budgeting, scheduling and safety requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and negotiation skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Good understanding of Procurement practices implementing purchases contracts and supplies. An understanding of Outsourcing, PFI/PPP and Best Value Contracts.
- Some Knowledge of external commercial developments and emerging best practice. Good problem - solving and analytical skills.
- Effective Project management skills.
- Ability to perform in complex cross -functional business environment.
- Some knowledge of current legislation within specific category areas and its impact on proven management and delegation ability.
