Job Description

Colliers International is undergoing a dynamic business transformation period across its Asia operations. This has led the demand for a client-centric proven pitch professional to join our expanding Business Development Centre (BDC). Reporting to the Managing Director, Shanghai and the Asia Head of BDC, this person will be responsible to for driving the pitch process across all major service lines (Investment, Occupier & Valuations) across Shanghai and key China cities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive and convert major client pursuits for Shanghai and key China cities through leading the pitch process across all major business lines
  • Lead, drive and manage the pitch process closely with internal stakeholders of all levels of seniority. This includes qualification of new business opportunities; facilitation of internal pursuit meetings/rehearsals; create and manage project plans and deadlines; coach preparation and rehearsal project team for pitch presentations; draft, copywrite, edit and proof-read proposals and presentations material ensuring key client-centric messages are presented clearly; conduct internal and client debriefs.
  • Involvement in China’s key client program and drive pitch activities and communicate within the Shanghai office.
  • Attend key client meetings, calls and presentations to build relationships with target customers for conversion of pursuits
  • Develop, manage and monitor top pipeline opportunities for both new and existing clients with
  • Create and design concepts / themes and work with Graphic Design Shanghai on the design and production of proposals and presentations.
  • Ensure all pursuit strategy targets and opportunities are tracked and analysed on the China pursuit tracker, highlighting significant clients, opportunities, revenue, conversion rates and trend patterns.
  • Provide regular pursuit reports for Shanghai Business Line Leaders, China MDs & Asia BDC.
  • Build close working relationships and communicate pursuit and client strategy to Asia BDC team and Colliers leadership to ensure alignment
  • Communicate and implement best practice pitch material from around the region to the local China teams
  • Work closely with marketing and internal teams to achieve greater client value
  • Conduct regular training workshops on best practice pitching, share point and sales training to the Shanghai and key China offices.
  • Be prepared to occasionally work outside office hours to meet client deadlines.
  • Consistent and thorough follow up to internal stakeholders and senior brokers.
  • Ad hoc projects as may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English & Mandarin (written and verbal).
  • Bachelor degree or above in a relevant discipline (beneficial).
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with proven track record in pitch/bid management (knowledge of the real estate industry would be an advantage).
  • Business Development, Sales & Marketing prior experience required.
  • Proficient and organised with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent at handling multiple tasks and competing demands in a corporate environment.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively through all mediums and at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal clients in Shanghai, the Pitch Studio Asia team and the Graphic Design team.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and InDesign.
