Job Description
We are seeking to appoint the key position of Water Resources Engineer in Sydney. You will report directly into our Principal Engineer and have the backing of a team of over 500 experts nationally. You will promote the strategic objectives of the Engineering and Design business, achieving this through the active delivery of projects.
Specifically:
- Assessment of water related impacts – hydrologic, flooding and water quality associated with infrastructure, mining and development projects
- Undertake conceptual engineering design and investigations of civil and stormwater infrastructure including earthworks, drainage, basins dam, etc
- Preparation and review of engineering reports, drawings, specifications, bill of quantities and cost estimates
- Undertake project and client management duties for projects as well as reporting on project milestones
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in hydrological/hydraulic analysis (1D, 2D and rain-on-grid), flood risk management, stormwater quality/quantity modelling, stormwater infrastructure design and technical reporting
- Proven experience using computer software including 12D, TUFLOW, XPRAFTS/WBNM, HEC-RAS, QGIS, MUSIC
- Motivate and empower the team to perform through leading by example
- Superior technical knowledge while delivering pragmatic and practical outcomes
- High level industry awareness and engagement
