Job Description
We’re looking for a detail-driven Tax Manager to lead statutory reporting and tax compliance for our Australian operations. This is a hands-on role with a mix of technical work and cross-functional collaboration, offering exposure to both local and international reporting standards.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring our financial statements and tax lodgements are accurate, timely, and fully compliant with AASB/IFRS, Australian tax legislation, and US GAAP. You’ll also work closely with our US parent company and play a key role in improving how we manage and report financial data.
What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements (AASB/IFRS)
- Managing external audits and liaising with auditors and regulators
- Handling tax compliance: Income Tax, BAS, Employment related tax including: FBT, Payroll Tax
- Assist with tax effect accounting and deferred tax calculations
- Advising on restructures, transactions, and cross-border tax matters
- Maintaining documentation for the ATO’s Justified Trust program
- Monitoring tax legislation changes and ensuring compliance
- Driving improvements in reporting processes and systems
Qualifications
- CA or CPA qualification
- 3–6 years’ experience in tax and statutory reporting (Big 4 or multinational experience is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation, AASB/IFRS, and ideally US GAAP
- A sharp eye for detail and the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders
- A proactive mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
