Job Description

Are you an experienced accounting professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead financial operations and drive strategic decision-making across our New Zealand business units. This is more than just a numbers role, it’s a leadership opportunity to shape financial outcomes and mentor a small team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end processes, revenue recognition reviews, and financial reporting
  • Deliver insightful analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders across APAC and globally.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, aged debt reviews, and general ledger integrity.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support strategic planning.
  • Support internal and external audits, including trust account compliance and year-end reporting.
  • Champion system optimisation and process improvements
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop direct reports to enhance their skills and foster a collaborative team environment

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior accounting role, ideally within a complex, multi-entity environment.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Expertise in financial systems (e.g., SUN, PAW, TM1) and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
