Job Description:

• Be able to install Solaris 10 and Solaris 11 on x86 and Sparc hardware 

• Be proficient with configuring Oracle X series ilom, bios, firmware, and hardware raid 

• Understand and coordinate change tickets and service requests with the necessary groups within Client. 

• Be proficient with networking including network topologies, jumbo frames, tcp/udp buffering, dynamic routing (RIP), and subnetting. 

• Be able to script repetitive tasks when necessary 

• Configure dns, nis, ntp, nfs, routing, and provide in depth troubleshooting skills when necessary. 

• Knowledge of Oracle X series hardware such as X4-2, X4-4,. X4-8, and legacy models such as X4600, X4640, and X4800.

• Solid understanding of subnetting, ip addressing, and routing is required along with the ability to troubleshoot the same. 

• All candidates must have Solaris 10 experience.

• 4 years of college degree.
