Job Description

Coleto Brands, parent Company of Progress Lighting and Kichler, is seeking an Inventory and Returns Supervisor to join our team at our Jefferson, GA distribution center. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position with a typical schedule of Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, though additional hours may be required to support business needs. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment. This individual will oversee inventory control and customer returns operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, timely and accurate returns processing, proper product disposition, and efficient product flow. Success in this role requires operational discipline, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective team leadership, and a continuous improvement mindset.

We're looking for someone who can lead and develop teams, strengthen inventory integrity, and take ownership of the full returns process – from receipt and inspection through resolution and final disposition. This leader will partner across departments to improve accuracy, turnaround times, customer experience, and overall distribution center performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily inventory and returns operations, assign work, manage staffing priorities, and ensure safe, accurate, and timely execution.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop associates; set clear expectations and drive accountability, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee cycle counts, location audits, inventory reconciliations, and annual physical inventory activities.
  • Investigate inventory variances, mislocations, and transaction errors; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, adjustments, transfers, and product statuses in WMS and ERP systems in accordance with established controls.
  • Oversee the full returns process, from receipt and verification through inspection, system processing, and final disposition.
  • Ensure returned products are assessed for condition, damage, and completeness, and properly restocked, held, reworked, or disposed of under company policies.
  • Ensure timely, accurate returns processing and documentation to support customer credits, replacements, claims, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor inventory and returns KPIs, including accuracy, cycle count completion, returns backlog, turnaround time, and productivity; report trends and drive improvements.
  • Partner with Customer Service, Quality, Supply Chain, and warehouse teams to resolve issues, reduce recurring returns and inventory errors, and reinforce safe work practices.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supervising returns processing, reverse logistics, or product disposition activities preferred.
  • Ability to manage competing inventory and returns priorities, investigate exceptions, and drive timely cross-functional resolution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of warehouse, distribution center, inventory control, or returns operations experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and distribution center returns processes, including cycle counting, reconciliation, returned-product inspection, disposition, and inventory adjustments.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems (SAP preferred), RF scanning technology, and Microsoft Office Suite; strong Excel skills preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Continuous Improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
