Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders.  The college has grown from 99 students in the fall of 1964 to around 1,800 in 2013.  

In addition to an 80-acre main campus, CCC has a 60-acre farm used as a hands-on laboratory and training facility. The college also accommodates hundreds of off-campus students at 24 locations in the 14-county service area through face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses.

Job Description

Colby Community College is accepting applications for a part-time Human Resources Specialist. Responsible for creating and overseeing physical and electronic personnel files. This includes but is not limited to employee records, resumes, personnel documentation, and transcripts. Organizes employee recruitment, new employee orientation, employee information management, human resources data analysis and reporting, compensation, unemployment, worker’s compensation, employee involuntary separation, employee benefits, and early retirement. Facilitates investigation and resolution of employee-related issues, including formal complaints and grievances. Must have knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, ADA, and other practices and laws to ensure compliance with state and federal employment regulations. Excellent consulting, conflict management, and interpersonal skills necessary. Bachelor’s degree or experience in human resources preferred. Application priority deadline is Wednesday, June 24. Qualifications
