Job Description

Colby Community College is accepting applications for a part-time Administrative Assistant for the Endowment Foundation. 

Under the supervision of the Director of the Endowment Foundation, the Administrative Assistant for the Endowment Foundation is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the Foundation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Foundation Administrative Assistant performs a variety of responsibilities related to scholarships, campus enhancement projects, and various operational tasks for the Endowment Foundation. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy is imperative for success in this role. The incumbent will actively participate in awarding student scholarships and receiving, depositing, and receipting all donations that are gifted to the college and the Foundation. The role involves precise recordkeeping of contributions in our customer relationship management software and maintaining current balances for club and booster accounts. Additionally, this position will involve assisting with the planning of large-scale events.
     
  • Proficiency with Blackbaud, data management, fundraising, and scholarship software is a key aspect of this position, with comprehensive training provided. The Administrative Assistant will also contribute to the planning and coordinating of diverse fundraising and alumni-related events. A solid understanding of higher education and the Endowment Foundation’s role at Colby Community College is essential for those in this position.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations of students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends of the college;
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team;
  • Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion;
  • Should possess organizational, clerical, computer and program skills;
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
     

SALARY
$16.00 to $17.75 per hour
 

HOURS / SCHEDULE
12-month, 24-28 hours per week position. An occasional need for increased weekly hours and infrequent night and weekend activities will be required.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required
  • Experience in an administrative office environment preferred
