Job Description

Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator to work with and recruit students in Kansas and neighboring states.  This is a 12-month position located in Colby.  The person selected will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with high school counselors and concurrent enrollment coordinators for the purpose of recruiting prospective students, enrolling in concurrent/online courses, and assisting with all Admissions operations as directed. Candidates for this position must demonstrate a desire to work with college students of all ages, a positive attitude, self-motivation, and the work ethic to follow through on commitments. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary, including the ability to present the college in a positive and professional manner to diverse populations.  Understanding the importance of technology, integrity, innovative thinking, and teamwork to increase enrollment in a rural setting is necessary.  The position requires significant travel throughout the fall and spring semesters, with approximately 50% of time in the fall spent traveling and approximately 40% of time in the spring traveling.  This position requires overnight travel and some weekend commitments as well.  The position also requires the ability to lift approximately 40 pounds, as well as load and transport admissions materials, displays and other equipment.

SALARY/WAGE

$32,000 - $35,000

Flexible benefits program that includes options for single and family health and dental coverage, life insurance, reimbursement accounts, sick leave and vacation leave allowances. Participation in the state retirement program required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required to be complete within six months of accepting position
  • Valid Kansas driver’s license required
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Experience in postsecondary admissions, advising, and/or recruiting preferred.
