Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders. The college has grown from 99 students in the fall of 1964 to around 1,900 today.  

In addition to an 80-acre main campus, CCC has a 60-acre farm used as a hands-on laboratory and training facility. The college also accommodates hundreds of off-campus students at 24 locations in the 14-county service area through face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses.

A number of studies conclude CCC is a solid educational investment. Colby has a strong history of student performance including the highest graduation rates for Kansas wo-year public colleges. 

Colby Community College is seeking two energetic individuals to serve as a Recruitment Specialist.  The positions support prospective students in their transition to the college environment. The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for recruiting and assisting students with admissions processes. There is a substantial emphasis on external recruitment activities, including college fairs, high school visits, and on-campus recruitment events as needed. This position requires a significant amount of travel with minimal time spent in the office setting.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with students quickly and demonstrate enthusiasm in meeting new people
• Possess excellent time management skills
• Understanding of and sensitivity towards the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of students

Salary:
$3,000-$4,000 stipend, non-benefits eligible

Employment Terms:
This position functions on a 12-week flex schedule concentrated during peak recruiting periods.  Peak recruitment periods include September 1, 2018 through November 16, 2018.
