Job Description

Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Student Accounts/Fleet Coordinator. Under the general supervision of the Business Affairs Office, the incumbent performs a wide variety of financial record-keeping duties requiring considerable judgment, initiative, and independence; The incumbent has primary responsibility for providing technical support for the student accounts receivable function using a comprehensive knowledge of financial record-keeping methods, procedures, and practices and a basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

SALARY
$24,000 to $28,000

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Equivalent to four years of progressively responsible financial record-keeping experience which has provided the above knowledge and abilities.

Education: Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS REQUIRED:
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computers including word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to understand and resolve routine problems as well as efficiency and attention to detail. Ability to: organize material and information in a systematic way to optimize efficiency; troubleshoot technology problems using knowledge of error messages and operating system basics; work with frequent distractions and achieve required work results; maintain effective working relationships with others; exercise tact, courtesy, alertness, and good judgment in responding to others; and independently follow through on work assignments with minimal direction. Demonstrated ability to address the essential functions associated with this position including the knowledge and abilities identified above.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate Degree.

Excellent ability to communicate with students and provide accurate and timely responses to a high volume of inquiries regarding charges, refunds, and account balances.
Technical fluency with Ellucian PowerCampus and PowerFaids or equivalent student information system; Microsoft Office Professional Suite, and Google mail and calendaring programs.
