Job Description

Job Description – Commercial Back Office Analyst (Coface SSC Mexico)

Position Summary

The Commercial Back Office Analyst at Coface SSC Mexico supports the administration of trade credit insurance policies, focusing on policy issuance and endorsements. The role ensures accurate and timely processing of policy documents in line with underwriting decisions, while maintaining data quality, compliance, and adherence to SLAs. The analyst collaborates with internal teams to deliver efficient operations and high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the necessary tasks to ensure the proper functioning of contracts in the respective systems, including contractual terms and billing within the Shared Service Center.
  • Issue contractual documents such as policies, contracts, endorsements, premium charges, and invoicing.
  • Process inquiries, complaints, and requests from clients or intermediaries in collaboration with the direct sales team and account executives.
  • Manage the end-to-end workflow for receiving monthly, quarterly, or annual turnover declarations via digital platforms.
  • Administer and prioritize requests, maintaining constant communication with entities and the team leader to ensure compliance with established SLAs.

 

Internal and External Support

  • Register and create policies in Coface systems
  • Receive information and documentation from prospects and clients to process and build case files
  • Receive sales, analyze anomalies, and update systems
  • Issue contractual documents (policies and contracts) according to received instructions and ensure proper recording in all information systems
  • Efficiently manage customer requests and requirements (internal and external), meeting Coface response time standards
  • Analyze and prepare reports required by the region

 

Control and Processes

  • Implement process improvements to optimize workflow and productivity
  • Ensure processes are executed smoothly
  • Maintain insured client files properly updated
  • Work towards achieving the KPIs established for the area
  • Maintain effective communication with commercial, technical, and management teams
  • Knowledge of KYC (Know Your Customer)

 

Compliance and Risk

  • Adhere to compliance standards established by Coface and local regulators
  • Continuously monitor compliance with group rules and processes

Candidate Profile

Education

  • TBD

Professional Experience

  • 1 year of experience in customer service or back-office operations
  • Prior exposure to insurance, credit insurance, or financial services environments is preferred.

 

Technical Skills

  • Excel – Intermediate to Advanced proficiency
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to identify anomalies in large datasets.
  • Understanding of basic financial statements and premium calculation logic.
  • Fluency in English and spanish (professional level); additional languages such as French are a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict monthly and year-end deadlines.
  • Assertive and clear communication skills to explain contractual requirements to clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, international environment.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Reporting timeliness – percentage of declarations received and processed within agreed deadlines.
  • Data accuracy – error rate in turnover validation and premium calculation.
  • Client and stakeholder satisfaction – response time and resolution quality for inquiries.
  • Compliance – adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.
