Job Description

We are looking for our first Solutions Engineer to join our fast-moving team in San Francisco, CA. As a Solution Engineer, you will be the technical keystone throughout the entire sales cycle -- pre and post sales. You will leverage your in-depth understanding of CodeSignal’s solutions, technical expertise and business acumen to find best-fit solutions for high-value prospects, to train and onboard new customers, and to support the long-term success of our customers.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Understand prospective client’s goals and effectively articulate CodeSignal’s meet these goals throughout the sales process as a trusted partner to Account Executives

  • Shape value creation for our prospective clients through presentations, product demonstrations, case studies, solution designs, and proposals

  • Educate our prospective clients on technical assessment best practices, explaining how other CodeSignal customers have approached obstacles and challenges and serving as assessment experts throughout sales cycles

  • Partner with Customer Success team to onboard and train our customers and set them for a long term success on our platform including the evaluation of tests designed for our customers

  • Design and develop technical documentations that our customers can leverage to troubleshoot common issues, take advantage of relevant features and functionalities and implement best practices in their technical assessment process

  • Address complex integration and product questions and coordinate resolutions, including technical troubleshooting of customer issues



  • 1+ years of experience in sales or solutions engineering ideally in the B2B SaaS space

  • Strong track record of working in a customer-facing environment and driving initiatives to improve customer success

  • Customer Interaction Skills - Discovery Conversations, Demonstration Skills, Solution Design, Proof Of Value management and Execution, RFP Management, Training, and Enablement

  • Solid technical background. Hands-on programming experience is not required for this position. But  a breadth of knowledge in many technical concepts is expected to be able to understand and explain our product that is highly technical in nature.

  • Superior organizational and project management skills with the ability to switch context quickly throughout the day with various competing demands

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
