Job Description
A dynamic and experienced Project and Programmes Manager to oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of multiple projects within the Design Lab. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex programmes across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resources.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work plans, and status reports.
Programme Oversight:
- Manage and oversee multiple programmes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define programme requirements and deliverables.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate project teams, providing clear direction and support.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Identify training and development needs for team members and facilitate appropriate training sessions.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Communicate project and programme progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.
- Ensure stakeholder expectations are met and managed effectively.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and manage project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Implement best practices for risk management and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage project and programme budgets, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.
- Track financial performance and report on budget variances.
- Ensure accurate financial documentation and reporting.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project and programme management, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
