Our client requires a Business Analyst is to work closely with business representatives to gain a thorough understanding of identified program changes and system improvements, then work with the technical team members responsible for making the necessary changes to the affected applications.

Requirements 

-Available for in person interview in Edmonton. 

-Experience working in an ICT environment 

-Experience working on concurrent projects 

-Experience working as a Business Analyst in a large complex custom software application development environment performing functions including: (all must be demonstrated) 

-interviewing business clients; analyzing documents; -leading or participating in requirements workshops; documenting requirements; -writing business process descriptions; 

-documenting business scenarios; 

-developing business process models; and 

-conducing impact analysis 

 Desirables 

-Experience working in the post-secondary student funding sector with a sound knowledge of its key stakeholders, delivery partners, business functions, and information requirements 

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts 

-Ability to learn quickly, problem solve/troubleshoot, work independently and/or in a team environment 

-Ability to manage stress and conflict 

-Experience with change management 

-Experience in Business Process Reengineering 

-Experience developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, as well as participating in performing various aspects of solution testing 

-Experience preparing project administration documentation such as: status reports; meeting minutes; risks; issues; decision requests; and change requests 

-Experience using MS-Project or other project management tools 

-Experience working in a Project Management Office (PMO) environment
