The Driver / Office Assistant is responsible for transportation services for employees and visitors together with office administration support when required.
Who you will work with
The Driver / Office Assistant is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation services for employees and visitors. The successful candidate will work closely with the Receptionist & Facilities Assistant and be expected to undertake structured cross-training in reception, facilities, and office administration functions to provide full operational cover during periods of absence, ensuring business continuity and consistent service delivery. Excellent customer service skills, professionalism, and flexibility, while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and operational support in a professional services environment, are key.
What you will be responsible for
Transportation support
- Providing safe, professional, and timely transportation for employees, partners, clients, and visitors as required.
- Managing daily transport schedules and responding to ad hoc transportation requests.
- Delivering and collecting documents, government applications, banking documents, and other confidential materials.
- Assisting with courier collections and deliveries across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and other UAE locations as required.
- Maintaining accurate vehicle logs, mileage records, and transport schedules.
- Ensuring company vehicles are maintained in excellent condition, including cleanliness, servicing, fuel levels.
- Reporting vehicle maintenance issues promptly and coordinating repairs when necessary.
- Ensuring full compliance with UAE traffic regulations and internal policies.
What you will do
Office support
When providing support and cover for the Receptionist & Facilities Assistant, the Driver/Office Assistant will:
- Act as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees providing a professional, friendly, and welcoming reception service.
- Manage visitor registration, access cards, and parking arrangements for visitors, contractors and vendors.
- Assist with meeting room set-up, including audio-visual equipment, presentation materials, and catering requirements.
- Support lawyers and business professional teams with day-to-day administrative requests.
- Assist with printing, scanning, photocopying, binding, and document preparation requests.
- Support the management of office supplies, stationery inventories, pantry items, and office equipment.
- Process courier requests and assisting with incoming and outgoing mail.
- Support the archiving and retrieval of original documents and records.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including workstation preparation and office orientation support for employee and visitors.
- Assist with supplier deliveries, invoice processing, and petty cash administration as required.
- Liaise with Building Management and contractors for MEP and other operational services, sourcing new vendors when required.
- Monitoring BMS and MEP systems and report faults.
Qualifications
Your experience
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a professional driver within a corporate or professional services environment.
- Valid UAE driving licence with an excellent driving record.
- Good knowledge of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and UAE road networks.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer-focused approach with strong service orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing business needs.
- Proactive, reliable, and resourceful with a positive attitude.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Basic understanding of office equipment and technology.
- Fluent English skills; Arabic language skills would be beneficial but are not essential.
- Willingness to be trained in reception, facilities, and office administration functions to provide operational support and cover when required.
