Job Description

We are seeking a Systems Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity based out of Texas.  This role will be a telecommuting/remote opportunity for both the contract duration of 6 months and then the conversion to a permanent/full time employee.  

In this role, you will: 

  • System requirements gathering
  • System requirements writing
  • Support testing efforts
  • Retrieve and analyze data in SQL databases
  • Write user stories 

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of SDLC experience in systems analysis activities (e.g., system requirements gathering, system requirements writing, production support, testing support, etc.).
  • At least 1 years of SDLC experience in Agile methodologies, specifically in systems analysis activities such as breaking down epics into smaller stories, writing user stories, estimating, etc. 
  • Intermediate level of experience with data analysis and data analysis techniques.   
  • Intermediate level of experience with SQL: Understands all of the functionality of SQL as well as intermediate understanding of PLSQL (stored procedures, functions, etc)
  • Understands and utilizes SQL to retrieve data, analyze data relevance to requirements, and can effectively summarize analysis into useable recommendations for design/resolution.                               
  • Intermediate skills in the following areas:  listening - to understand what people say and to detect what they might be hesitant to say; analytical - to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile   conflicts, and recommend solution ideas; writing - to communicate information effectively to all levels; interpersonal - to help negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among project stakeholders; interviewing - to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information.
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • High degree of confidence and ability to influence others through expert communication skills.
  • The ability to work with a lead analyst day to day to takes direction from them effectively.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working remotely 100% of the time
  • Relevant industry experience to include government services, healthcare, or insurance.
  • Relevant experience with state healthcare programs (e.g., Medicaid, etc.) and related functions (e.g., enrollment management, eligibility determination, etc.).
  • Computer Science or Engineering Degree.
  • Relevant experience with JIRA platform.
  • Experience with JAVA (understanding code and/or concepts for the purpose of providing design options).
  • AGILE certifications.

Additional Information

This role is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the ability to telecommute/ work remote and is based in the central time zone (Texas).  This role will not be able to offer work authorization sponsorship.
