The SIM Administrator is someone that is highly organized and able to multitask with ease. The SIM Administrator’s main tasks include managing and maintaining stock for customer orders, and to manage the entire SIM administrative process within the Company.
Based in Bedfordview, Germiston.
Job Description
- Manage and maintain stock for customer orders within stock budget.
- Order dead sims stock.
- Scan and send dead SIMs requests for SIM activations. Get written approval from CFO to attach with requests.
- Troubleshoot services on SIMs not being loaded with SIM Tester Administrator and/or log correction tickets with networks.
- Manage cancellations with networks, and on network portals (Roaming platforms) and internal Support team.
- Scan and send SIM Swops to networks then hand to SIM tester Administrator for testing and troubleshoot with networks if sims are faulty
- Perform stock take and send stock numbers to heads of department.
- Offer customer support that may require sending requests to support/ networks to action or assist customers with SIM related queries over the phone, or via Hubspot Support tickets and emails.
- Action Hubspot tickets that are assigned, such as requests for information, cancellations etc.
- Work to resolve faulty SIMs with SIM Tester Administrator.
- Oversee small to medium projects such as SIM migrations, package changes, bulk activations for specific customers.
- Maintain up to date reports of SIM activations, migrations, Forward billed SIMs issued, SIMs cancelled with networks, migrations from 10digits to 14digits.
- Manually update 10digits that have been migrated to 14digits on Connect that did not get automatically updated.
- Assist Support, Customers and Integration with any 2nd line support SIM related issues.
- Assist with provisioning, deleting and updating of sims on Connect.
- Update inventory codes for SIMs billing on backend
- Upload stock sims to backend with new activations and sim swops updates.
- Scan and compile provisioning sheets for roaming sims and send to support to provision on roaming platforms.
- Log tickets with Networks for anything SIM related such as stock management, support queries and testing, suspended sims, contract cancellations.
- Assist Finance with any SIM and Network related small projects such as creating heads for SIMs, Package migrations, SUL Limit updates.
- Check if SIMs hitting the radius but are not on our system needs to be purged or re-loaded on the system.
- Monitor SIMs issued to staff make sure staff members are not getting extra sims than what they need because SIMs might have been misplaced. Issue staff SIMs.
- Process map SIM Administrator processes.
- Send out daily updates on the progress of outstanding SIM orders.
- Organize, label and keep the store room SIMs stock in order.
- Update Customer APN Bundle changes on Connect back and Front End.
- Operate Networks' SIM Management Portals (manage sim swaps, suspensions, call limit, wildcard, international roaming)
Qualifications
- Matric Certificate or equivalent qualification
- 1 – 2 years SIM Administration experience
- Advanced Excel experiences essential
- System Orientated
- Good, organized Admin Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good Team player and trustworthy
- Excellent communication skills
- Independent thinker
- Shows initiative
- Deadline driven and punctual
- Ability to prioritize tasks, plan and organize
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent high-level Competence in MS Excel
- Sound knowledge in MS Office
- Hubspot or similar systems experience will be an advantage
