We’re a London-based fintech startup who raised a $3.5mn seed round. Our seed round was led by Lakestar, who previously invested in Revolut, Spotify, and Facebook. In 2020 we were named Financial Technology Innovation of the Year and Tech Nation Rising Star. Our mission is to help you retire with a larger pension.

Most adults in the UK hold their pension in a pension fund. Pension funds give the money in your pension pot to asset managers so that asset managers can invest the money and, hopefully, increase the value of your pension over time. In return for managing the fund, asset managers charge fees.

Most pension funds have poor understanding of the fees they are paying, often being overcharged. As a result, by the time you retire as much as 40% of your pension has been paid to asset managers in the form of fees.

ClearGlass is a digital platform which allows pension funds to discover, analyse, and compare the fees that asset managers are charging them. Pension funds can then use this data to negotiate better deals, reduce costs, and allow us all to retire with larger pensions.

ClearGlass has helped more than 800 pension funds & asset owners, with a combined value of over 700 billion pounds, to see their fees. We also work with pension funds in Europe and southern Africa.

Job Description

ClearGlass is looking for a highly driven graduate, preferably with knowledge of the financial services industry, to be part of the Client Success team. You will be responsible for supporting other Client Success team members in managing client portfolios as part of a wider function ensuring client satisfaction and retention, as well the process and client experience in receiving the products/services from ClearGlass.

The role is meaningful and impactful - you're helping people up and down the country achieve a more secure retirement. The role has a degree of autonomy and you will be expected to manage your own workflow and projects within the context of the overall team’s workflow; projects and strategy.

You must understand and have worked with data; be analytical - this is not a purely relationship-driven role; and be able to organise your clients well in ensuring that their entire journey and experience with ClearGlass meets and exceeds their expectations. Most importantly you believe that transparency is good for the industry and are passionate about our mission.

You will be reporting to the Head of Client Success.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing a portfolio of clients
  • Ensure client satisfaction
  • Liaise with internal teams to improve our products based on client feedback
  • Build strong relationships with our customers

Your key initial objectives to achieve are:

  • Manage your clients through the ClearGlass process
  • Get to know and build relationships with your clients
  • Ensure clients are happy with the service they receive
  • Meet and exceed client and internal deadlines

Qualifications

Must haves:

  • A good understanding of, or actual experience of the investment management or financial services industry
  • 1+ years of client-facing or related roles
  • Analytical and have a data-driven approach and mindset
  • A growth mindset – we are growing as a company and we need you to be growing with us

Nice-to-haves:

  • Direct experience working in the asset management or investment consulting or broad financial services industry
  • Previous experience in client-facing roles as a lead servicing individual
  • Experience in the savings / pensions industry
