Job Description

Clean Water Action is seeking a Field Manager in Northampton, MA, to lead and support campaigns focused on clean water access, affordability, climate change, and environmental justice. This leadership role is ideal for someone passionate about community organizing, skilled in team management, and eager to make a tangible difference in environmental and social justice initiatives.

As a Field Manager, you will:

Lead a team of Environmental Organizers in outreach, fundraising, and member recruitment activities.

● Provide on-the-ground coaching and mentorship to ensure team members are equipped to succeed in their roles.

● Develop and implement strategic plans to meet campaign goals and drive grassroots advocacy.

● Act as a liaison between field teams and leadership, reporting progress, challenges, and insights.

● Represent Clean Water Action in the community, building strong relationships with residents and stakeholders.

● Contribute to the growth and sustainability of critical environmental campaigns through fundraising efforts and public engagement.

Qualifications

● Experience in leadership or team management, ideally in grassroots organizing, nonprofit work, or advocacy campaigns.

● Passion for environmental and social justice issues.

● Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

● Ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve campaign goals.

● Attention to detail and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

● Multilingual candidates and those with backgrounds in Social Work, Sociology, Political Science, Public Health, Environmental Studies, or Communications are strongly encouraged to apply.

● Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (proof required).

Additional Information

This is a full-time, in-person role based in Northampton, MA. The hours are from 1pm-9pm. Applicants must have reliable plans to commute or reside locally.
