Leading Manufacturing Co. in Northern NJ has an immediate need for a Consolidations Accounting Manager to join the team. 

Job Description

The Manager of Consolidations will assist and contribute to the overall operations of corporate accounting and consolidations. Will be involved in accounting operations including all transaction processing, internal controls, external reporting, accounting policy and any other financial accounting compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close processes and ensuring that all transactions are booked in a timely manner and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Consolidation of financial statements, ensuring revenue recognition is in accordance with GAAP

• Oversight and adherence to accounting policies

• Integrating new acquisitions into the accounting process

• Working with the accounting staff to enable the execution of the recurring monthly transaction processing functions that are required to accommodate the activities of the Company

• Partnering with the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis to validate consolidated results

• Performing various ad hoc projects, analyses and responsibilities

• Assisting the CFO and the Controller with any other projects as assigned including acquisition and systems integration


Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and ability and aptitude to handle all aspects of journal entry processing

• Prior experience working with multiple foreign currencies

• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize work

• Proven ability to analyze complex technical accounting material

• Must have advanced Excel skills and be very comfortable producing variance analysis and other calculations to support the accounting function

• 7+ years of relevant accounting/financial experience

• 2+ years of public accounting experience

• BA/BS Accounting/Finance Required

• CPA Required
