The Field Coordinator will report to the Assistant Superintendent and/ or Site Superintendent
Brief Overview
The Field Coordinator will report to the Assistant Superintendent and/ or the Site Superintendent to assist in the day-to-day site coordination of all construction activities. The Field Coordinator will learn about safety, quality, progress, schedule, and any other project matters.
Key Functions & Duties
- Assists in creating, maintaining, and executing the project plan and schedule; and ensuring compliance with budget.
- Assists the Assistant Superintendents, Project Managers, and Assistant Superintendents
- Creates a team atmosphere within project teams, inclusive of subcontractors and trade labour.
- Coordinates construction activities as directed by the Field Team.
- Ensures project materials and workmanship meet the project Quality Standards and Design requirements.
- Obtains necessary information from engineers, designers, inspectors, municipal/provincial authorities, and owners when directed by the Field staff
- Advises Field Team of potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts; anticipates and resolves project issues and schedule difficulties.
- Assists the Field Team in maintaining the project’s Daily Job Diary, as-built tracking, creating templates for future as-built tracking.
- Attend relevant project meetings when required.
- Assists Superintendent and Safety Consultant with daily notes and supervision.
- Photo documentation and narrative to photos as required.
- Assist Superintendent with data input for tracking purposes (ie. concrete tickets)
- Assist Superintendent with daily traffic notifications to neighboring properties and ensure good relations with neighbours.
- Tracking/ counting trucks leaving the site when required.
- Input daily deliveries into Procore for tracking purposes.
- Adding/uploading items to Procore as required by the Field staff.
- Collecting documentation from trades and tracking as required (ie. safety docs)
- Ensuring paperwork is organized and available when required (ie. orientation tracking)
Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements
- Post-secondary school degree or diploma in a construction related area of study.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct work experience working in high-rise / ICI construction.
- Health & Safety certifications.
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic understanding of construction methodology, including development, contracting, and consulting.
- Basic trade/ product knowledge
- Basic knowledge of the construction industry and company operations specifically construction specifications, building materials, methods, and procedures
- Understanding of construction terminology
- Technical Systems (Procore, Office 365)
- Safety Codes
- Understanding of construction codes
- Ability to read drawings

Working Conditions
- Work in both an office setting and outdoors at multiple construction sites.
- Travel to the site, and off-site may be required.
- Frequently required to sit or stand for long periods.
- Walking, bending, and kneeling is common.
- May need to climb ladders or navigate inclined ramps at job sites.
- Personal protective equipment will be required, e.g., steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, hard hat, etc.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, tools, and to handle other computer components.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Ability to move safely over uneven terrain when onsite.
- Ability to respond quickly to sounds when onsite.
- Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations when onsite.
Additional Information
What we offer:
- Competitive Compensation Package. - The estimated starting salary range for this role is $67,500 - $80,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
