The Business Analyst will fulfill the role of Product Owner in specific agile-based projects. The successful candidate will have proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization, and be an excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Their technical writing experience should include relevant areas like queries, reports, and presentations. Proven capabilities in project and user-testing management are essential aspects of the collaborative nature of this role.

Job Description

  • Work directly with management and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships
  • Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration, and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations
  • Work closely with project managers to understand and maintain focus on their project goals and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
  • Partner with other stakeholder teams across business units to develop necessary analysis and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with production, managerial, and executive teams
  • Prepare, conduct elicitation activities, and document and confirm elicitation results
  • Prioritize, organize, specify, and model requirements
  • Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
  • Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and building scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across data sets
  • Fulfill the role of Product Owner in specific agile-based projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in IT/Computer Science field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in an analytics and systems development capacity
  • High proficiency with SQL language and database management concepts and moderate proficiency with Python
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
