AGENCY DESCRIPTION

The Board of Revision of Taxes’ main function is to hear real estate market value appeals filed by property owners of the City of Philadelphia.  In addition, the Board hears appeals of certain non-profit, tax exemption cases and eminent domain appeals.

Job Description

Position Summary

This is routine clerical work performing clerical tasks which follow easily learned, established procedures and which, after learning, can be performed regularly without continual supervision. 

Essential Functions

  • Data entry.  
  • Sort and file forms alphabetically.  
  • Receives visitors and guide to the proper destination.  
  • Receives, screens and routes telephone calls and gives out standard information.  
  • Operate office equipment including copier, fax, printer and scanner.  
  • Receive e-mail correspondence.  
  • Prepare hearing packages by retrieving, sorting, numbering, copying and stapling select documents.

Qualifications

Associate degree required.
