The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) works to modernize city government and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of City services. We focus on innovating and strengthening the city’s administrative functions and enabling resident-facing departments to evaluate, plan, and continually improve their service delivery.

Job Description

The City of Philadelphia is seeking a Graduate Intern to work approximately 20 hours per week to provide support to an initiative assessing how human resource services are provided throughout the organization. The position will assist in supporting key activities including research, assessment, and the development of initiatives to improve service.

The intern will gain exposure to the organization development and change management in a large complex organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate student to apply and expand their skills in data analysis, organizational development and project management.

Qualifications

  • Analyze information gained from assessments with key business clients and external organizations to identify trends and key issues; support all assessment activities throughout the project.
  • Conduct research on best practices on an array of HR services and provide in-depth analysis of the findings.
  • Assist in tracking project milestones and developing reports to provide feedback to key business leaders on the initiative. Help respond to inquiries as needed.
  • Provide analysis capacity to review data on budget, service delivery, staffing needs and other information required by the project.
