Company Description

City State Entertainment is an independent video game development studio founded in March 2011, in Fairfax, Virginia, by online gaming pioneer Mark Jacobs and accomplished programmer, Andrew Meggs. In October 2012, they released their first game, March on Oz, for Apple's iPad. The studio embodies an “open office” collaborative process where all team members are expected to contribute to the design and the development process. The team is currently in working on their second game, Camelot Unchained, a niche RvR old-school MMORPG.

Job Description

City State Entertainment is looking for a Producer for Camelot Unchained, an RvR fantasy MMO for its studio in Fairfax, VA or Bothell, WA. This person will need to effectively communicate goals and objectives to developers, evaluate scope of projects, identify project risks, and drive efficiency. The Producer will manage the day-to-day scheduling and delivery of tasks - ensuring all projects are completed on time.

 

Qualifications

  • Must be familiar with MMO development cycle

  • Proven track record of managing the game production life cycle

  • Proven ability to efficiently deliver tasks on time

  • Strong background in scheduling and resource management

  • Experience with agile and scrum methodologies

  • Experience in metrics/data driven decision making

  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate clearly and concisely with technical and nontechnical developers

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects under tight deadlines

  • Highly organized and detailed oriented

  • 1 or more shipped titles in the game industry

  • Prior production experience in the game industry, preferably in the MMO space
