Are you an experienced electrical professional looking to take ownership of high-impact infrastructure projects?
As the Senior Electrical Technical Officer, you'll play a critical role in planning, coordinating and delivering the City's lighting and electrical infrastructure programs. From street lighting upgrades and LED conversion projects to asset management and contractor coordination, you'll help ensure our community benefits from safe, efficient and sustainable infrastructure.
This is an opportunity to combine your technical expertise, project management capability and stakeholder engagement skills while working on a diverse portfolio of public infrastructure projects. You'll work closely with contractors, consultants, utility providers and internal stakeholders to drive positive outcomes for the community.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver lighting infrastructure renewal projects
- Coordinate maintenance and inspection programs
- Manage contractors, consultants and suppliers
- Assess lighting upgrade and modification requests
- Liaise with Western Power and utilities
- Monitor project budgets and expenditure
- Maintain lighting asset management data
- Provide specialist electrical technical advice
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a technically skilled electrical professional with strong project delivery experience and a passion for public infrastructure. You'll ideally bring:
- Electrical trade or engineering qualification
- Electrical infrastructure project delivery experience
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- Experience managing external contractors effectively
- Ability to interpret technical documentation
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication
- Sound knowledge of lighting infrastructure practices
