Job Description

You’ll lead a high-impact facilities maintenance function that supports the safety, reliability and performance of the City’s buildings. This role combines operational leadership, contract management, budget oversight and stakeholder engagement across a diverse portfolio of community facilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead reactive and renewal maintenance programs
  • Manage facility maintenance contracts and contractors
  • Develop budgets, programs and work scopes
  • Monitor expenditure, performance and service levels
  • Support building inspections and maintenance planning
  • Lead, coach and develop your team
  • Manage permits, compliance and WHS requirements
  • Strengthen systems, records and service processes

Position Description

Qualifications

We’re looking for a facilities maintenance leader with sound technical judgement, strong contract management capability and a practical approach to leading people and improving services. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Facilities management qualification or related experience
  • Strong facility maintenance and building knowledge
  • Proven contract management and administration skills
  • Experience managing large building portfolios
  • Strong budgeting and financial management capability
  • Effective leadership and supervisory skills
  • Sound negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Current driver’s licence and police clearance
