Job Description

You’ll play a hands-on role in designing traffic, transport and parking solutions that make daily movement safer, easier and more accessible for our community. From investigating capital works projects to preparing construction plans and supporting project delivery, your work will help shape the infrastructure that supports a high quality of urban life across the City.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Investigate and design capital works projects
  • Prepare construction plans and documentation
  • Assess traffic, transport and parking designs
  • Apply relevant standards and guidelines
  • Respond to community and stakeholder enquiries
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors and agencies
  • Prepare cost estimates and quantities
  • Support construction-phase design advice

Position Description

Qualifications

We’re looking for a technically capable and customer-focused engineering professional with strong design, drafting and stakeholder engagement skills. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Diploma qualification in Civil Engineering
  • Relevant civil engineering design experience
  • Computer-assisted drafting experience
  • Advanced AutoCAD and design software skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of technical design standards
  • Sound time management and organisation skills
  • Current WA C class driver’s licence

Further Information

To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a current National Police Clearance under three months old, or be willing to obtain one, and maintain a current Western Australian C class driver’s licence.

A valid White Card is desirable.
