Facility Hire Officer
Location: Stirling Leisure - Inglewood
Position Type: Maximum Term Full-Time Position from 24 August 2026 until 16 February 2027
Salary: From $76,251.33 base salary plus superannuation (based on experience)
Job Description
The Opportunity
We are seeking a customer-focused and highly organised Facility Hire Officer to join our Recreation & Leisure Services team.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will be responsible for coordinating bookings and customer enquiries across a diverse portfolio of community facilities, leisure centres, beaches and reserves. You will be the first point of contact for facility users, ensuring bookings are managed efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service and helping maximise community access to City facilities.
Working closely with community groups, sporting clubs, hirers and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting the successful operation of some of the City's most valued recreation and community spaces.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in administration, bookings coordination, customer service or facility management.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and business systems such as booking, finance or customer management platforms.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of recreation, community or leisure facility operations will be highly regarded.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Current driver's licence is desirable.
