Job Description
Why You’ll Love This Role
You’ll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical infrastructure across a large, complex organisation. This role offers genuine scope - from strategic planning and contractor management to hands-on delivery of critical electrical, fire and security projects that directly support community facilities and precincts such as Scarborough Beach.
You’ll work with passionate technical specialists and leaders who value expertise, autonomy and collaboration, while helping shape safer, smarter and more sustainable buildings across the City.
Please note this is an office-based position and not a tradesperson position.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage HV and LV electrical infrastructure portfolios
- Lead electrical, fire and security capital projects
- Oversee contractors, consultants and service providers
- Deliver projects to scope, budget and schedule
- Develop project plans, budgets and risk controls
- Provide specialist electrical and technical advice
- Drive asset optimisation and energy efficiency initiatives
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for an experienced electrical project leader who thrives in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments. You’ll ideally bring:
- Degree or extensive electrical industry experience
- Electrical Trade Certificate (essential)
- Significant HV and LV network experience
- Strong project and contract management capability
- Proven budgeting, forecasting and cost control skills
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and BCA
- Confident stakeholder and contractor engagement
- Sound understanding of WHS frameworks
