Job Description

Executive Assistant to the City Manager: Full-time or Part-time position

We are currently seeking motivated candidates to perform advanced administrative/secretarial support duties relating to the operation and activities of the Office of the City Manager. Routine responsibilities include, but are not limited to: preparation of the agendas for official City meetings, data collection and organization, preparation of routine or periodic reports,  and ad hoc reporting.  Responsible for the organization and implementation of an administrative support system for the City Manager. Organizes the activities and schedules of the office and the flow of information in accordance with the Manager’s priorities as set to meet goals and objectives. Provides administrative support to the City Clerk, as assigned.  The City Manager assigns a variety of detailed tasks requiring the highest level of administrative support capability, advanced level of initiative and organization and independent judgment. Work entails dealing with directly with citizens, employees, and elected officials on confidential, and sensitive issues requiring a high degree of discretion and tact.  continual inter-departmental relations and extensive public contact.

Pay Range: $19.37 - $29.06 per hour.

Qualifications

Must possess a Florida class "E" driver’s license, Associates Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Secretarial Sciences, or related field of study; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, abilities may also be considered.

Minimum of five (5) years executive secretarial or administrative experience, with prior work experience as direct staff support to executive level personnel in government/public or private sector employment or other special vocational preparation. Proficient in the use of personal computer systems using Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Adobe Illustrator, Laser Fiche, Access, and other similar programs.
