Job Description

This position will be responsible for performing administrative and technical work involved in the coordination of human resource planning, employee recruiting and onboarding, benefit administration, risk management and other related duties.

Essential position functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating the employees recruitment process including: position advertisement, reviewing applications, performing background screenings, conducting employee training and orientation.
  • Coordinating and processing claims for Worker's Compensation.
  • Maintenance of personnel files and databases.
  • Coordinating the FMLA process, paperwork, and other related activities
  • Preparing and processing forms and paperwork for performance appraisals and personnel actions.
  • Participating in and coordinating Human Resource related projects, and public records requests.
  • Processing employee benefit enrollments, balancing and processing requisitions for related invoices.
  • Performs related work as required.

Pay range: $18.81 - $28.22 per hour.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associates Degree in Human Resource Management or related field.  A related Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.  Minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience in Human Resources administration, HRIS, personnel record keeping, payroll, benefits administration or other special vocational preparation.  Knowledge of insurance industry principles and practices. Knowledge of federal/state/local employment related laws and regulations related to employment. Strong communication skills necessary to interact with staff at all levels of the organization, vendors, and the public. The ability to deal tactfully, professionally and effectively with people. Develops and maintains effective & collaborative working relationships with others. Demonstrated ability to adhere to professional behaviors in maintaining sensitive and confidential employee information. Ability to conduct research, analyze data, perform technical calculations and prepare reports based upon findings. Ability to work on multiple tasks with competing priorities. Detail oriented with ability to produce polished and accurate work products.
