The City of Seminole is seeking a part-time Fire Inspector/Fire Investigator to work under the direction of the Fire Marshal.  The part-time schedule will be shift-friendly and will work 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

Duties include code application/enforcement, fire prevention functions and fire/arson investigation. This position requires investigation experience, with demonstrated knowledge of current inspection and investigation techniques.

Successful candidates will also possess advanced technology and computer proficiency.

The selection process includes an extensive background investigation. The successful candidate will be required to carry pager, and may be subject to after-hours call. Starting salary $19.50/ hour. Salary range to $28.28 per hour.

Must possess at time of hire: high school diploma/equivalent, A.S. Fire Science preferred; FL Municipal Fire Safety Inspector Certificate of Compliance; and Florida class "E" driver’s license. FL Firefighter Certificate of Compliance preferred.
