Job Summary

Under general supervision, is responsible for performing public contact work operating a van or bus to transport passengers. Exercises no supervision. 

This position is a temporary "grant funded" position, therefore unclassified and has no disciplinary appeal rights to the Municipal Civil Service Commission. This position is likewise subject to at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason.

Work Location
Assignment locations may vary to cover needs at 12 Comprehensive Senior Centers throughout San Antonio.

Work Hours
General schedule is 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Monday - Thursday. Work hours and days may change, depending on business needs.

• Ability to read and write, and to interpret and follow verbal and written instructions.
• One (1) year of experience driving a passenger bus or van.
• Valid Class 'B' Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or higher with a Passenger (P) endorsement.
• Any applicant selected for this position must have a background check completed with results satisfactory to the City of San Antonio and successfully complete the City of San Antonio’s Cash-Handling Certification Training.
