Job Description

The City of Pueblo is looking for experienced candidates to be our next Wastewater (WW) Instrument/Control Specialist! As the WW Instrument/Control Specialist, you will troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment and controls such as relay logic, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), integrated circuits (IC) and other types of process controllers and instrumentation, operate diagnostic equipment and maintain field instrumentation devices and laboratory equipment.  This full-time position offers you a variety of benefits and an annual salary range of $58,686.36 - $73,739.88. Qualifications

  • High school graduation or GED equivalent;
  • At least one year of experience is required in a wastewater or drinking water treatment plant in excess of 4 MGD capacity (wastewater experience is preferred), or in a large industrial facility
  • A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment
  • Must also meet one of the following:
  1. At least two years of college level electronics training which included technical training in the area of electrical controls; or
  2. At least 5 years of industrial electronics/controls experience; or
  3. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Certification as a Colorado Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator is highly desirable.
