Job Description

The City of Pueblo is seeking a qualified individual to be our next Stormwater Coordinator and it could be you!  As the Stormwater Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for the design of drainage facilities with the City of Pueblo, review of drainage reports and plans for development within the City, and implementation of the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) through the City’s MS4 Permit. Additionally in this supervisory position, you’ll train, evaluate, and recommend discipline on staff, attend meetings with the public and other agencies and give presentations to City Officials. Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or civil engineering technology from an accredited college or university
  • Three (3) years of experience managing and completing water/stormwater projects
  • One (1) year of experience managing and completing master drainage and floodplain projects
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado or the ability to obtain a Colorado registration within five years from date of hire
  • A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment
    • License restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on City business, such as an interlock, will be cause for disqualification 
    • During the course of employment, a valid license must be maintained, and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license
