Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Court Technician. In this vital role, you will provide direct support to the Municipal Court, working closely with the Municipal Court Judge, Administrator, and various city departments. You’ll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of court records and providing excellent customer service to attorneys, defendants, and the public. As a Court Technician, your responsibilities will include processing a variety of citations and summons, scheduling court dates, and managing important court documents. Additionally, you’ll handle customer inquiries at the counter, assist the Judge during court sessions and perform clerical duties, such as maintaining the daily docket and operating in-court technology.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma, GED, or higher education (associate degree or higher preferred)
  • At least one (1) year recent clerical experience of detailed records management in a high paced environment
  • A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment
    • License restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on City business, such as an interlock, will be cause for disqualification 
    • During the course of employment, a valid license must be maintained, and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license
