Job Description
The City of Pueblo wants to hire you as a Streets Maintenance Supervisor! This full-time position offers you a variety of benefits, a fast-paced work environment, and a competitive annual salary of $74,653.44 - $91,193.40. As a Streets Maintenance Supervisor, you'll be responsible for maintenance crews whose responsibilities include: snow removal, constructing, maintaining, repairing, drainage ditches and appurtenant concrete. You'll also communicate City rules and regulations with citizens. Additionally, you'll supervise the inspection of excavations made within the public Right of Way to ensure compliance with the appropriate City Ordinances, and Specifications. Qualifications
- An associate degree from an accredited college or university in the fields of Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or other related engineering or construction fields at the time of application or within 36 months of date of hire
OR
- The applicant has completed at least 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter credits) of college/university level coursework at or above the 100/1000-level, with at least 40 of those semester hours (60 credits, if quarter credits) coming from courses taken in engineering, engineering technology, construction science, construction management, construction technology, electro/mechanical technology, mathematics, computer science, business administration, business management, engineering management, finance, accounting, or technical writing with a minimum grade of “C” or better and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a four-point scale within 36 months of date of hire
AND
- Four (4) years of experience in street construction, street maintenance and repair, including two (2) years of experience operating heavy equipment such as dump trucks, excavators, backhoes, graders, sweepers, and bulldozers
- Two (2) years of successful supervisory or lead-work experience is required within a heavy civil construction related field
- A valid Colorado Class “A" Commercial Driver's License at the time of application
