Job Description

Under general direction, serves as the Passenger Service Office representative for the Staten Island Ferry and reports directly to the Customer Service Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for the Lost and Found operation and perform related administrative and customer service duties.

EXAMPLES OF TYPICAL TASKS:
Maintains a portion of the Staten Island Ferry 311 system for lost and found items, permit requests, and complaints. Assists passengers with directions, transit maps, schedules, and tourist information. Responds to complaints and lost and found inquiries by mail, email, telephone, and/or in person. Drafts correspondence, collects and enters data into electronic and paper files, and performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements
1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
